How to Burn a Mix CD

Apple iTunes is a popular software program that allows users to buy music from the iTunes store, burn CDs and convert audio to a variety of formats. You can also use iTunes to burn a mix CD.

Things You'll Need

• Apple iTunes (see Resources)
• Blank CD

Instructions

1. Download and install the latest version of Apple iTunes.

2. Launch iTunes.

3. Click the menu entitled “Edit” and select "Preferences."

4. Locate the "Advanced" tab from the same "Edit" menu and select "Importing."

5. Select "Apple Lossless Encoder" or "AIFF Encoder" from the pop-up menu.

6. Select "Burning" from the "Advanced" tab.

7. Choose "Audio CD" and click "OK."

8. Insert a CD into your CD-R drive.

9. Click the “File” menu and select “New Playlist.”

10. Type a desired name for your playlist and press "Enter."

11. Click "Library" on the right-hand corner of iTunes.

12. Drag the songs you want on your CD to your playlist.

13. Sort the songs in your playlist in the order you want them to play.

14. Click "Burn CD."
