How to Hide a UK IP Address

Surf the web without giving away your IP information.

When using the Internet in the UK, all computers display an IP address. This enables the owners of the website to identify you and see your location, the kind of computer you are using and your current operating system. However, if you don't want to give away your IP address, it is possible to hide this information through the use of a proxy. A proxy allows you to surf the Internet anonymously.

Instructions

1. Open your Internet browser and navigate to a proxy website. There are literally hundreds of these websites available online, including "Proxywebsites.biz," "ProxyWebsites.ux" and "Proxy.org."

2. Click on one of the proxy URLs you want to use to access the Internet. There is a large list on the side of the screen.

3. Type in the exact URL of the website you want to visit in the proxy site's URL bar.

4. Click "Go," and you are taken to the website while still inside the proxy. Because you are in the proxy, your browser information is blocked from all individuals attempting to see your user information.
