How to Create a Website Free of Cost
Beginning in the late-1990s, sites like GeoCities and Angelfire offered free and easy website hosting for individual users. Many of these providers have either stopped offering free hosting services or have gone out of business completely. There are still several large providers who do offer free web hosting and design tools to help individual users create a web presence.

1
Create an account with a free web hosting provider. Currently, Google Sites is one of the largest and best-known free web hosting providers. If you already have a Google account, no further registration is necessary for Google Sites.
-
2
Choose a design for the new website. Most free hosting providers have some form of template-driven website design tools. Minimal technical expertise is required to fully design the site using one of these tools.

-
3
Name the website. Choosing a name for the site not only identifies the site to visitors, it also customizes the URL used to access the site. Name the site something unique, but easy to remember.
-
4
Set the site's availability settings. In most cases, the site will not be available to the public until the site owner changes the settings to make it public.
-
5
Add content to the site. Once the site is public, content can and should be frequently added. New, fresh content keeps users returning to a website.
