Instructions
-
-
1
Draw a flamingo outline on a piece of 8.5-by-11-inch paper.
-
2
Cut the bird image out of the paper and trace it onto an equal size of 3/4-inch plywood.
-
-
3
Sand the edges of the plywood flamingo to smooth them.
-
4
Drill two 1/4-inch holes in the bottom of the flamingo shape for the leg rods. Position one hole at a diagonal to accommodate the bent leg rod.
-
5
Put waterproof glue into these holes.
-
6
Insert 1-foot metal rods into these holes.
-
7
Bend one leg with pliers to position it with a bent knee and ankle joint. This will force the flamingo ornament to stand on one foot.
-
8
Apply primer to the raw plywood to seal it. Put four layers of primer on the plywood edges to help protect and keep them from peeling.
-
9
Paint the entire shape with pink paint and add details.
