VNC can be a handy way to provide remote desktop access to your computer whether at home or at work. Since the computer running VNC Server software is usually protected by a firewall, knowing which port is in use by the VNC Server software is a necessity when configuring the firewall to forward VNC connection requests to the VNC computer.
