1
Check the dial of the microwave oven and make sure that it is completely turned off. Unplug the cord from the power source and leave the microwave oven untouched for at least 5 minutes. This will allow the capacitors to discharge.
-
2
Remove the outer vent cover of the light bulb by unscrewing it from the top. Use your screwdriver to remove about 6 screws to fully take the cover off. Set aside the screws as this will be used again for installing the new light bulb.

3
Locate the bulb on the right side of your microwave oven, near the front. You will only see the bulb's black plastic end piece and not the bulb glass. The bulb can be seen sitting upside down in a vertical position inside your Panasonic microwave. Lift up the bulb holder and use your fingers to unscrew the bulb.

4
Get your new 30w microwave bulb to prepare it for installation. Position the new light bulb exactly like the previous bulb and screw it in place by turning it clockwise with your fingers.
-
5
Place your bulb holder and vent back in its original position by screwing it using the old screws from Step 3 and your screwdriver.
