1
Place the poster board down flat on the table.
-
2
Design the commercial poster board on a separate piece of paper. Include the logo, slogan, picture of product and an overall captivating image to draw the consumers in.
-
-
3
Make the logo, slogan, product picture and advertising strategy image on the computer or in hand. If done on the computer, print them out and cut them out using scissors. Apply glue to their backsides to add them to the poster board.
-
4
Add the logo of the brand that the commercial is for. For example, if the commercial is for a new burger at McDonald's, then add the golden arches. The logo should be visible to the consumers viewing the poster board.
-
5
Add the slogan close to the logo. While some remember a brand by the logo, others remember it by the slogan. Keep the two close together on the poster board.
-
6
Add a picture of the product being advertised, so consumers know what is being presented. This is not necessary, if it is a service being advertised.
-
7
Add another picture to the poster board. This picture should captivate the consumer. For example, add that captivates the joy and excitement of using the service or product.
-
8
Supply the contact information or a website, where the consumer can go to learn more about the product or service being advertised. You should not give all of the information to the consumers, but rather spark their curiosity. Giving consumers all of the information up-front on the poster board gives them no reason to return and investigate further.
-
9
Laminate the poster board commercial when done. Place the poster board in the laminating plastic cover and let it slide through the laminating machine, when it is ready. This will protect the poster board itself from damage, such as rain or shine, and will prevent the colors from fading.
