How to Install Logitech Headphones
There are two technologies in use in computer headphones: analog and USB. Logitech analog headphones are commonly identified by a 3.5 mm jack. An analog headphone plugs into the computer's soundcard. Logitech USB headphones incorporate their own sound card and are not dependent on the computer's. As one might expect, a USB headphone is identified with a USB jack. USB can be a superior solution for web chatting.

Plug the 3.5 mm jack into the green 3.5 mm input on the computer's sound card. The sound card will be at the back of a desktop computer. The sound card will be internal in a laptop and may not be immediately identifiable, so look for a 3.5 mm input. Plug the headphones into the input with the headphone icon.
