How to Upload Photos to Find the Perfect Hairstyle
Virtual hairstyle galleries allow you to upload a photo of your face from your computer onto a website. Once your photo is uploaded into the website's system, you can position various hairstyles over your own hair and virtually “try on” different hairstyles. This techniques allows you to see what a hairstyle would look like on you before you ever set foot in a salon. Virtual hairstyle galleries also work to “try on” different hair colors. Go to The Hairstyler.com or Cosmopolitan's Virtual Celebrity Hairstyles Web page. Create a new account at The Hairstyler.com or log into your existing account. Cosmopolitan's website does not require an account.

Click the “add photo” or “browse” button. This will open a file upload screen that allows you to find your photo on your computer's hard drive.

Find and select your photo from your computer and click on the photo file to highlight it. Click the “open” button on the file upload screen.

Click the “add photo” button, if prompted to do so, on the website. Your photo will now be uploaded into the virtual hairstyle gallery and you can begin trying on virtual hairstyles to find your perfect new hairstyle.

Tips & Warnings
For best results, the photo you upload should be a straight-on, close-up shot of your face. The lighting should be bright and your own hair should be swept back off your face.
You may be prompted to agree to a photo policy before uploading your photo. Always read the policies carefully before agreeing, so you know how your photo may be used.
