How to Uninstall Flash Player XP Files

Adobe Flash Player allows you to view Flash files at any time on your computer. Flash files are typically used by Internet webpages because the format is easily played while streaming, preventing you from downloading the entire video file before playing the video. However, if you no longer want the program, or some of the program files installed on your computer, it is possible to remove the Windows XP files from your system.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Start" button and choose "(My) Computer."

    • 2

Double-click the "C:" drive icon and then choose "Programs." A window appears with all the program files installed on the computer.

    • 3

Select "Adobe" and then choose "Adobe Flash." A new window appears with all the Flash Player Windows XP files on the computer.

    • 4

Right-click the file you want to remove and select "Delete." Repeat this process with every Flash Player file you want to remove. If you want to remove the entire program, right-click the "Adobe Flash" window and select "Delete."
