As a fisherman, you must take large fishing boats several hundred miles away from shore and be able to carry thousands of pounds of fish. This is a very dangerous career that requires you to be away from home for long periods of time. This career also requires extreme mental and physical efforts and can be very stressful. Work as a deckhand aboard a commercial fishing boat. This is an opportunity for you to develop the training and skills necessary to work as a fisherman and perform under pressure.
