How to Automatically Clear History From the Internet

Every time you visit a website, an entry is created in your browser's history file that includes the URL of the site and the date and time of your visit. If you're concerned about privacy, many web browsers include a setting that automatically deletes your web browsing history, including cookies and temporary files, each time you exit your browser.

Tips & Warnings

  • Chrome and Safari don't include an option to automatically clear your browsing history. If you want to ensure your privacy with either browser, choose the option to browse privately from the Settings menu in Safari, or the Tools menu in Chrome.
