How to Make a Web Page Available Offline With Internet Explorer 7

When you are not connected to the Internet, there are still some Web pages that would be useful to view offline. With Internet Explorer 7, you can save a Web page to your computer's memory, which will allow you to view the Web page offline any time. To do this, you simply need to add the page to your "Favorites" folder, then choose to save the Web page to make it available offline.

      Go to the Web page you want to make available offline and click the plus sign on the top left of the browser. Select "Add to Favorites."

      Check the box that says "Make Available Offline" to save the Web page to your computer.

      Click "Offline Settings" to set a schedule for Internet Explorer to update the page on your computer. This should be done for any Web page that will be updated often. From the "Offline Settings" window you can also choose links from that Web page that you also want to make available offline.

      Click "Add" to finish adding the Web page to your "Favorites." This Web page will now be viewable offline.

Tips & Warnings

  • To view the Web pages you have made available offline, click "File" and select "Work Offline."
