How to Burn a DVD From an FLV File on a Mac

Burn DVDs with your Mac computer.

FLV, or Flash, is a video format typically used on the Internet as it easily plays while streaming over a network connection. However, it is also possible to play and view these movie files on a PC and Mac computer. If a .flv file is saved onto your Mac computer and you want to display the contents to other individuals without a computer, you need to burn the .flv file onto a DVD.

• Blank DVD

Instructions

1. Insert the blank DVD into the disc drive of your Mac computer.

2. Double-click the iDVD icon on the dock at the bottom of the screen. Choose to "Create a new project," then click "Create."

3. Select the "Show DVD Map" button in the bottom middle of the screen, then click-and-drag the .flv file into the open window

4. Click the "Play" button (directly under "Return" and the .flv file is burned onto the blank DVD.
