How to Convert New Zealand Dollars to English Pounds

Calculating how many English (British) pounds you can get for your New Zealand dollars is important if you travel between the two countries. Instructions

1. Find the current exchange rate for New Zealand dollars to British pounds. This information is available on line. Look at the X-Rates website and select the base currency from the drop-down list provided in the middle of the page. Click on "British Pounds," which is located on the right side of the page. You can also find exchange rate information on the OANDA Forex Trading and Exchange Rate Services website.

2. Multiply the amount of New Zealand dollars you have by the exchange rate. Using the July 2010 exchange rate of about 0.47 New Zealand dollars to one British pound, for example, two New Zealand dollars will exchange for about 0.944 British pounds.

3. Change the number of New Zealand dollars you have into British pounds by typing the amount of dollars into an on line currency converter if you do not want to multiply the conversion yourself. OANDA has a currency calculator on its website.
