The Dell D600 is capable of sending data through a Bluetooth connection.

Your Dell Latitude D600 model laptop includes an option to come from the factory with an internal Bluetooth adapter. The adapter gives your laptop the ability to detect other Bluetooth devices, such as cell phones, and transfer files to and from the devices. To communicate with a Bluetooth device, the D600 must have the latest device drivers installed, and you need to turn on the Bluetooth feature through the operating system.

Tips & Warnings

  • Instead of right-clicking the Bluetooth icon, there is also a keyboard shortcut to automatically turn on the Dell D600's Bluetooth. Simply hold the "Fn" key and tap the "F2" key to turn on the Bluetooth feature.

  • Each Bluetooth device has a slightly different way to turn on its Bluetooth feature. Check the device's manual to find out how to turn on the Bluetooth "Discovery mode" so your Dell D600 will recognize it.

  • If you need to transfer data to or from the Bluetooth device, open the "Start" menu and click "Computer." Double-click the entry for your Bluetooth device to open a window showing the data stored on the device.
