How to Set Wallpaper

An image of this beautiful unicorn tapestry can be your computer wallpaper.

When you receive your computer, it comes with default settings. In order to make it more personal, you may spend some time changing the font in which all of the letters appear, the size of the letters themselves as well as the wallpaper. The wallpaper, the main screen you see after the computer has finished booting, can be attractive, but it may do nothing for you. Change it to something you prefer, and it'll make you smile every time you turn on your computer.

Instructions

Create Wallpaper from Your Pictures

1. Go to the Start button on your computer. Click on it, and go to "Control Panel."

2. Go to "Appearance, Personalization or Display" and click on it with your mouse.

3. Click on "Desktop Background,' then click on "Picture Location." Browse until you find the picture you want to use.

4. Click on the picture. Choose whether you would like to have it tiled like a mosaic, centered, or fitted to size. When you click "OK," you will have changed the image for your wallpaper.

An Image Online

1. Search for an image you would like to use for your wallpaper online.

2. Right click with your mouse on the picture, then choose "Set as Desktop Background."

3. Size the image as you like--something that might be necessary for an image that's small.
