Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ribbons
  • Middle-age Theme Children's T-shirts
  • Sun Visors
  • Greeting Cards
  • Sports Books On Tape
  • Blank VCR Tapes
  • Tape Players
  • Baskets
  • Cellophane Gift Wrap
  • Wrapping Paper
  • Odorless Pain-relieving Muscle Pain Creams
  • Sunscreen
  • '60s And '70s CDs
  • Gift Certificates
  • Shredded-paper Filling
  • Baskets

    Choosing the Gifts and Basket

  1. Step 1

Pick accessories for the outdoor or indoor middle-aged sports enthusiast: sunscreen, sun visor, shoe and wrist reflectors, odorless pain-relieving gel, sports books on tape, a tape player with waistband attachment, blank VCR tapes, and spare batteries for the TV remote control.

  2. Step 2

Include his favorite '60s and '70s music, in CD format.

  3. Step 3

Select an appropriate, humorous T-shirt with a middle-age theme.

  4. Step 4

Pick a basket style. Your choices include those with one handle, with two side handles, or without handles. Make certain the basket is large enough to hold the gifts you have selected.

  5. Step 5

Decide on the color of the basket by choosing one that complements the guy's home decor. If in doubt, choose a neutral color by selecting a natural wicker basket.

  6. Step 6

Use shredded paper filling to make the gifts fit snugly in the basket.

  7. Step 7

Buy a humorous greeting card about middle age.

  8. Packing the Basket

  9. Step 1

Wrap each present with colorful gift wrap.

  10. Step 2

Put a layer of shredded paper filling on the bottom of the basket.

  11. Step 3

Place the wrapped gifts vertically or horizontally in the basket, as space allows, pushing the filling between gifts to ensure a very snug fit. Cover some of the gifts completely with the filling to create mini surprises when the basket is unpacked.

  12. Step 4

Place the basket in the center of a large piece of clear or tinted cellophane gift wrap. You may need two pieces of the wrap to completely cover a large basket.

  13. Step 5

Bring all sides of the wrap to a few inches above the top of the basket. Secure the wrap by tying it with a long, colorful ribbon.

  14. Step 6

Tape your greeting card onto the wrap.
