The Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error crops up from time to time. Basically, it happens when software installed on your computer system conflicts with one or more Microsoft Windows components. Fortunately, there are some fairly simple solutions to resolve the problem: you need to reinstall Visual C++ or you need to figure out which Windows process is not working with your software. With a little time and patience, your computer will run smoothly again.
Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++

Step 1
Access the Internet and go to the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) page (see Resources).

Click "Download." button. When it finishes downloading, go to the next step.
Step 3
Double-click the downloaded file.
Step 4
Follow the instructions in the "Installation Wizard."
Step 5
Reboot your computer.
Step 6
Test to see if the problem persists. If it does, try the next solution.
Determine Which Service is the Problem
Step 1
Click "Start," then click "Run."
Step 2
Type MSCONFIG in the "Run" dialog box. The "System Configuration Utility" opens.
Step 3
Go to the "Services" tab.
Step 4
Click the "Hide All Microsoft Services" check box.
Step 5
Click Disable All (if the button is active).
Step 6
Reboot the computer.
Step 7
Test the software. If the error message is no longer there, repeat Steps 1-7, enabling one new service each time. When the error returns, you know which service is in conflict with your software. Keep it disabled.
If the error message does return after you disable all the services, contact your software's customer support.
