Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

    Choosing the Gifts and Basket

  1. Step 1

Select gifts such as the following: leather business card case; designer folding umbrella; spa items such as bath oils, sachets, or scented soaps; crystal perfume bottles; personalized sterling silver pen and pencil set; Belgian chocolates.

  2. Step 2

Pick a basket style. Choose from baskets with one handle, with two side handles, or without handles. Make certain the basket is large enough to hold the gifts you have selected.

  3. Step 3

Select a natural wicker basket for its neutral color.

  4. Step 4

Buy a blank greeting card and write a simple message.

  5. Packing the Basket

  6. Step 1

Wrap each present with a colorful gift wrap.

  7. Step 2

Put a layer of shredded paper filling in the bottom of the basket.

  8. Step 3

Place the wrapped gifts vertically or horizontally in the basket, as space allows, pushing the filling between gifts to ensure a very snug fit.

  9. Step 4

Place the basket in the center of a large piece of clear or tinted cellophane gift wrap. You may need two pieces of the wrap to completely cover a large basket.

  10. Step 5

Bring all sides of the wrap to a few inches above the top of the basket. Secure the wrap by tying it with a long, colorful ribbon.

  11. Step 6

Tape your greeting card to the wrap.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid the risk of inadvertently creating an awkward situation. Do not give personal items such as clothing or jewelry.
  • Avoid off-color greeting cards or messages.
