How to Use Bank Deposit Slips at a Credit Union

A credit union is owned by a group of people who use their money to provide loans and financing for credit union members. Much like a bank, customers deposit and withdraw money from their accounts and utilize other bank services. Aside from the origin and the types of loans provided, there is little difference between a bank and credit union. The banking documents are similar as well.

Instructions

    • 1

Fill in the date on the bank deposit slip's date line. Write your account number on the designated line.

    • 2

Write the amount of the checks and cash on the right side of the form. Add the numbers together for a subtotal.

    • 3

Write how much money you would like to receive, if applicable, and subtract from the subtotal for the grand total to deposit. Sign on the signature line if you are receiving money.

    • 4

Submit the bank deposit slips with the cash and/or checks you wish to deposit. Be sure to endorse the checks first.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you elect to receive some cash when you make your deposit, you may have to show a photo identification card.
