Firefox's Password Manager can securely remember your login information for specified sites.

Mozilla Firefox offers the option to save user names and passwords used to access websites. Using the password manager that is built into Firefox, you can manage the passwords you wish for Firefox to remember. When you visit a site for which the password manager has stored information, Firefox will automatically fill in the appropriate fields and log you in.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open the Firefox browser.

    • 2

Navigate to a site for which you want to store your user name and password.

    • 3

Enter your user name and password in the appropriate fields. Follow the same method you would normally use to sign in.

    • 4

Click the "Sign In" or other appropriate button to log into your account for the current site.

    • 5

Select "Remember" near the top of the browser to have Firefox's password manager store your user name and password for the current site. In addition to "Remember," you will have the options "Never for This Site" or "Not Now."

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have previously selected the "Never for This Site" option for a site but have now changed your mind, open "Options" from the "Tools" tab in the browser, and choose "Exceptions" in the "Passwords" section. Highlight the site that you wish to remove from the list, and click "Remove." Save the changes, and exit the "Options" menu. The next time that you visit the site, Firefox will prompt you to remember the password.
