How to Download DVD Quality Movies
In the past, finding high-quality movies and television shows was difficult and risky. As companies have embraced digital downloads, watching movies on a computer has become a far more common and safe practice. You can safely and legally download your favorite movies using either Microsoft's Zune software or Apple's iTunes.

Open the Zune software and sign in using your Windows Live ID. If you have not created one, the software will walk you through the process. Setting up a Live ID is required to make purchases through Zune.

Click "Marketplace" on the main navigation bar. Select "Videos."

Search for the title you wish to download using the "Search" box. When you find the movie you're looking for, click "Buy" to initiate the purchase.

Confirm your purchase by clicking "OK." You may only purchase videos on Zune using Microsoft points. If you do not have enough points to complete the purchase, you will be prompted to add points to your account. Once confirmed, the download will begin.
With iTunes

Open iTunes and click "iTunes Store" on the left-hand navigation bar. This will load up the main page of the iTunes market.

Type the title of the movie you wish to purchase into the "Search Store" box in the upper right corner of the window and hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard.

Browse through your search results to find the film you wish to download. Select the "Movies" filter to narrow down the choices.

Click the "Buy" button to initiate a purchase. You will be prompted to sign in or create your Apple ID. Once signed in, you can choose to pay with either your on-file credit card or PayPal account, or any balance your Apple ID may have earned from an iTunes gift card. Once the purchase has been completed, the movie will automatically be downloaded to your iTunes library.

Tips & Warnings
Zune and iTunes movies can be shared to their respective portable devices (Zune and iPod). Be sure to sync your handheld multimedia devices so you are able to enjoy your movies on the go.
Microsoft's Zune market is compatible with the Xbox 360 system. If you have a 360, you can purchase, download and watch HD quality movies right on your Xbox system.
Never attempt to download copyright-protected works from torrent or file sharing sites. Not only is this a violation of the law, it can be a potential threat to the security of your computer because these sites are often laden with viruses and other malware.
