How to Send a Fax From a PC to a Fax Machine
Whether you are looking for a job or are trying to submit an application for an apartment or loan, faxing can be one of the easiest and fastest way to get important documentation into the hands of people who need it. Still, not everyone has immediate access to a fax machine. Luckily, you can use Internet applications to send faxes from your computer to a fax machine.

Open the browser application on your computer and navigate to an online fax website like FaxZero. There are free online faxing applications like FaxZero or ones that will charge as little as $10 a month.

Enter the name you wish the fax to be sent under and a valid email address.

Input the intended receiver information, including the name of the company you are faxing and its 10-digit fax number.

Select the "Browse" button under the fax information tab. Navigate to the folder containing the document you want to fax. Select the document and click "OK." Your document will now be ready to fax. If your document is not in .doc, .docx or .pdf file format, it will not be sent; however, you can copy and paste text into the "Enter Text" option under the file attachment link.

Enter the confirmation code, keeping in mind that it is case sensitive. Send your fax using the "Send Free Fax Now" button under the "Free Fax" option.

Tips & Warnings
FaxZero is a free service; however, it does have some disadvantages. You can only fax three pages, which will be sent with a cover letter advertisement, and only two free faxes per day are allowed. If you plan on sending multiple faxes daily, there are many options for monthly subscription-based pay plans.
