1. Access TXU Energy's website and select "Residential" from the top menu.

2. Click "Sign Up for Service" under "Quick Links."

3. Select "I'm New to TXU Energy" and enter your street address. Select the radio button that fits your needs situation. Click "View Plans."

4. Review the plans that TXU Energy offers for residential service. Click "Sign Up" under the plan you would like to choose.

5. Enter your previous address and billing address. If your billing address is the same as your service address, check the "Same As New Service Address" box. Click "Continue."

6. Enter your personal information. The enrollment form asks details such as your name, Social Security number and your date of birth.

7. Select a start date for your service. If the connection date is within two days from your request, an additional fee is added to your service connection fee. Select your language preference for future communications from TXU Energy.

8. Check the boxes to indicate you agree to the Terms and Conditions and that you want to establish service with TXU Energy. Click "Continue."

9. Review your information, then click "Submit" to place your request for service. Write down your confirmation number. You can also print it.

10. Create a user name and password to manage your online account. Click "Submit."

• If a deposit is necessary to start your services with TXU Energy, you may be required to pay it before services are connected.
