In the workplace or at home, printers connect to the work or the home network and are made available to print to. When connected to a networked printer, print jobs can be remotely sent from any PC on the network. A printer that is on the network is assigned a unique IP address, like any component on a network (a PC, a laptop or any other device connected to the network).
