How to Block the Redtube Website

Use Content Advisor to keep your internet experience clean and safe.

Redtube is an adult entertainment website designed for adults aged 18 and over. If you have children, you may want to stop them from viewing adult material such as Redtube. Luckily, Internet Explorer has a built-in security feature called Content Advisor that allows you to put Redtube (and other sites like it) on a restricted list. This list of sites cannot be accessed without a password set by you. Block sites such as Redtube in a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. Open Internet Explorer. Click "Tools>Internet Options." Select the "Content" tab, and click "Enable" in the Content Advisor section. A new dialog box will open.

2. Select the "General" tab, and click "Create Password." Enter your new password and a password hint, which will be used to jog your memory if you forget your password. Do not select an obvious password or password hint. Click OK.

3. Click "Settings" under the Content Advisor section. Enter your password if prompted. Select the Approved Sites Tab.

4. Enter the Redtube web address in the Allow This Website section: http://www.redtube.com/. Select "Never" to block the website. Click "Apply" and click "OK."
