Green Dot cards are Visa cards that work like bank debit cards. However, the major difference is that the only money available on the card is the amount you load on it. For example, if you put $100 on a Green Dot card, you can only buy $100 worth of goods or services. On the left side of the homepage, under "account log-in," type your entire card number into the “Account Number” box and select the expiration date from the card.

Type your password in the “Password” box, and enter the code in the final box.

Click “Log-in.” Your balance will appear on the screen.

Tips & Warnings
When you activate your card, choose to have alerts sent via text or email daily. This way you have your balance at your fingertips whenever you need it.

I tried to check out my balance and was told that my card number was not valid. I know it is valid because there is money still on it but I cannot find out my balance. I feel like this could be a scam!
