Becoming a Christian Lawyer
While the law in the United States is often a contentious line of business given its adversarial nature, it is possible to become a Christian lawyer. The journey to become a Christian lawyer begins with law school and the groups with which you associate and will continue until retirement. Aside from being a Christian who enters a law school to become a lawyer, there are a variety of things that you can do to reinforce your Christian values.

Attend law school. Getting into law school requires creating an account with the Law School Admission Council, taking the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), graduating from college with a bachelor's degree and applying to law schools. Consider attending a Christian law school in order to maximize your opportunities to joining Christian legal groups and student groups. Some Christian law schools are: Regent University School of Law, Liberty University School of Law, Trinity Law School, Baylor Law School, Boston College Law School and Notre Dame University Law School.

Join a Christian legal group. While in law school, join any Christian law groups and Christian student groups that are offered at the law school. There are a variety of Christian-based groups available to those in the legal profession, such as the Christian Legal Society, the American Catholic Lawyers Association and the Protestant Lawyers Association. Attend group functions and begin networking with other Christian law students and Christian lawyers.

Become an attorney with a Christian-based practice. Search for employment with a Christian organization or law firms that represent Christian interests. Prior to graduating from law school, begin looking for employment with Christian organizations, churches and church dioceses or other administrative groups. Also, contact the Christian lawyers whom you met networking through your Christian legal associations and apply for a position with their law firms.
