USB jump drives and memory cards are two common flash-based storage devices. Although memory cards are commonly found in cameras, they can store computer files, too. Transferring photos from a jump drive to a camera memory card only takes a few minutes, so long as you understand how to do it properly.

Instructions

      Insert the jump drive into the computer and plug the camera memory card into your computer's memory card reader. If your computer does not have one, use an external card reader.

      Click the "Start button" and click "My Computer." Select the USB flash drive under "Devices with Removable Storage."

      Left-click and drag a box around the photos you wish to transfer. Right-click and choose "Copy." You can also press "Ctrl" and "C" on your keyboard at the same time to copy files.

      Click the "Start button" and "My Computer" again. Return to "Devices with Removable Storage," but select the memory card this time. Left-click and select "Paste." You can also press "Ctrl" and "V" at the same time on your keyboard to paste the photos. Windows will transfer the files to the from the flash drive to the memory card.

Tips & Warnings

  • Press "Select All" from the "Edit" menu to select all pictures in a folder.
