Knowing how to correctly disable sound from a single web page may save you a large amount of time. Many users do not know how to silence sound on a single web page, and just turn off their speakers. There are two different methods to silence sound from a particular web page. Each method is relatively easy, and only takes a few seconds to accomplish.

      Open your Internet browser and navigate to the web page you want to disable sound on.

      Right-click on the sound icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen, next to the clock. Select "Mixer." Left-click and drag down the volume control under the webpage's icon until it reaches "0." This will disable the sound for a single webpage.

      Click "Start" and Select "Run." Type "regedit" into the box and press "Enter." Click on "Main," then right-click on "Play_Background_Sounds" and select "Modify." Type "no" into the box and press "Enter." This will disable the sound from all webpages.
