How to Recycle Toner Cartridges for Charity
Laser printers offer an alternative to ink-jet printers and can outperform them. Like all printers, though, their toner cartridges eventually run out of ink. You may be able to refill your cartridge a few times but your print quality will deteriorate. You can recycle your toner cartridges rather than throwing them away and have the funds donated to charity. Your donation may qualify for a tax deduction.

Finding a Toner Cartridge Recycling Facility
-
1
Research toner cartridge recycling facilities. This can be done either through the Internet or telephone directory. Choose the company through which you want to recycle based upon the amount of money it will offer for the cartridge, the charities to which it donates, convenience, or a combination of all three.
-
2
Contact the chosen recycling company's customer service department. Arrange for the shipping materials to be sent to you or obtain information about drop-off times and locations, if you prefer to deliver the cartridge in person.

-
3
Choose your method of payment. You may prefer to receive cash or a check and donate to your selected charity on your own or to have the funds sent directly to the charity on your behalf.
