How to Adjust Volume on Skype
Skype is the top program for Voice over Internet Protocol available. It has made instant communication across the globe available to anyone with a computer and Internet access. It can be downloaded for free at www.skype.com. Skype is pretty simple to use once you know how. It is important to learn all the basic functions of Skype before using it. This includes adjusting the volume.

Open the Skype program on your computer. Initiate a call to one of your contacts or to another phone. The volume can only be adjusted when you are on a call.

Look at the toolbar toward the top of the Skype window. It will have options such as end call, mute and adjust volume.

Click on "adjust volume". A slider will appear that can be moved to adjust the volume. Move the slider left to turn the volume down or right to turn the volume up. If that does not work click "check settings".

Click on the "speakers" button. This will bring up another slider. Slide it to the left to decrease volume and right to turn it up.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using headphones with Skype and are having problems adjusting the volume, make sure that the headphones are plugged into the computer properly. Also, check the strength of your Internet connection.
If adjusting the volume from the Skype window does not work, you may need to manually adjust the speakers of your computer.
