How to Change Labels in a Pricing Gun

If you work in a store where many kinds of goods are sold each day, you will most likely use a pricing gun. Pricing guns are convenient because they enable you to quickly and easily add a pricing label to individual products, which saves you a lot of time and work. You will eventually run out of labels after a day of labeling things, so you will need to know how to change rolls and prices settings on your pricing gun.

Instructions

Peel the sticker off the end of the new roll; it keeps the new roll from unraveling. Remove all stickers on the first 10 inches of the roll, but leave the backing. Cut the end with a pair of scissors so it has a straight edge.

Open the label gun by pressing the tabs next to the door and lift it up. Remove the old empty roll from the gun. Place the new roll inside with the loose end on top. Hold the trigger down and feed the end of the roll through the slot in the front (follow the arrows on the gun if there are any).

Pull the end of the labels through the second slot, which is located right above the trigger. Press the trigger down after feeding it through this slot.

Push or pull the knob next to the opening that shows the number series into the correct position for each number. For example, you need to change the labels from an item that is $1.95 to $1.99, you would position the arrow below the last number, and turn the knob to the number "9." When you're done changing the price, push the knob all the way in to lock it in place.

Press the front of the label gun against whatever you are applying the labels to and pull the trigger. Gently pull down to help the label detach from the backing.
