How to Verify Internet Speed

There are plenty of free Internet speed test available that will give you a general idea of your Internet speeds. Whether you're using DSL, cable, T1 or any other type of broadband connection, these speed tests will give you your current download and upload speeds. To get a more accurate testing, it is recommended that you close anti-virus programs or any programs that require bandwidth.

Instructions

WhatsMyIP - Internet Speed Test

1. Navigate to WhatsMyIP.com to begin the speed test.

2. Click the server that is closest to your physical location. The test will begin.

3. Read the test results. Your download and upload speeds will be listed to the left and right sides of the speedometer.

Test Internet Speed

1. Navigate to TestInternetSpeed.com to begin the Internet speed test.

2. Click the "Begin Test" button at the top of the page. The test will begin.

3. Read the test results. Your download and upload speeds will be listed to the left and right sides of the speedometer.

InternetFrog - Speed Test Tool

1. Browse to InternetFrog.com to start the bandwidth speed test.

2. Click the "Click to Start" button in the center of the page.

3. Read the test results. Your download and upload speeds, along with additional connection information will be displayed in the graph below.
