How to Uninstall CCleaner

CCleaner is a freeware program that cleans your computer, including your Internet history, Windows history and system history. But your system is already equipped with tools to perform this function, so you don't need a third-party software that simply consumes space on your hard drive. If you want to decrease clutter and clear up disk space, uninstall the CCleaner software.

Instructions

1. Click "Start > My Computer."

2. Click "Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs."

3. Click "CCleaner > Remove."

Tips & Warnings

• If you later decide that you want to add CCleaner back to your computer, you can simply re-download it from the Internet.

• Do not interrupt your computer while it's uninstalling CCleaner to prevent errors from occurring.
