1
Fashion a stainless steel bracket to which you can easily attach your existing fountain nozzle and PVC inlet fittings. Use a drill and socket set to fasten the bracket together. If stainless steel is not an option, you can use PVC or durable polyethylene as bracket material. The bracket must also be made with the shape of the float in mind.

2
Secure the bracket to the float. Most floats are made from polyethylene and can easily be drilled into with stainless steel screws that attach the bracket. Insert the fountain nozzle and PVC inlet assembly into the center of the bracket.

Take your fountain assembly out to the desired location in the pond. Use a boat or, if your pond is shallow enough, push the fountain into the pond. Tie off the mooring lines to the bracket. Ensure that the lines are long enough to reach the pond bottom but short enough to keep the lines taught. Attach a cinder block to each line to keep the fountain from moving and slowly lower the blocks to the bottom.

Tips & Warnings
It is not recommend to allow humans to swim in a pond that has electricity in it; despite the power cords on fountains being submersible, there is still a possibility the cord could be cut and release an electrical shock into the pond. Do not allow children or animals in the pond.
