Internet Explorer is an Internet browser programmed and manufactured for distribution by Microsoft Corp. as part of the Windows operating system. This program allows you to browse websites on the Internet and access web-based programs. Email is a program that can be hosted by Internet sites like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Through email, users are able to send free messages to one another. Photos can also be sent through email accessed in Internet Explorer.

Instructions

  1. Using Windows' Automatic Email Program

      Open the folder on your computer's hard drive where the photograph you would like to email is located. Click on the photo to highlight it.

      Double-click on "Email this File" from the list of menu options on the left side of the window under "File and Folder Tasks."

      Select "Make all my pictures smaller" from the resizing window that appears. If your photo was taken in high definition or is a large file size (greater than 2 MB), you will need to resize the photo so it is easier to email. Select the photo size from the drop-down menu that appears.

      Type in the email addresses of the recipients to whom you would like to send the photos in the default program that appears. Enter a message in the email body and click "Send."

    Using Website-hosted Email Programs

      Open Internet Explorer and type in the URL of your email hosting site such as Google, Yahoo or MSN. Log in to your email account using your user name and password.

      Open a new blank email message by clicking "Compose New Message."

      Enter the recipient's addresses, subject line and message body as you would in a normal email message.

      Click the "Add Attachments" hyperlink. Choose the location where your photo is stored in the window that appears. Double-click the file name of your photo. Wait until the progress bar reaches 100 percent. Add more images by clicking the "Add Attachments" hyperlink again and choosing the file of other photos.

      Click "Send" to send the message with attached photos to the recipients.
