The color, gender, name and personality of your Neopet can be easily customized to your liking. Play games with your Neopet to earn Neopoints, which can be used to obtain items and limited-edition Neopet species.

Visit the official Neopets website and click the "Login to Neopets" option on the top right corner of the homepage. Click the "Need an Account? Sign Up Now!" option that appears in the center of the page. Enter your desired user name and password in the appropriate fields. Read the Neopets Terms of Service agreement. Click the "I agree" option to agree to the Terms of Service and continue, and entire your personal to complete registration.

Choose from over 40 available species of Neopets on the "Create a Neopet" page. Select from popular Neopets species such as Shoyru, Pteri, Kacheek, JubJub, Scorchio and others. Select a color for your Neopet. Choose between yellow, blue, green or red.

Name your Neopet and give it a personality. Enter the name for your Neopet in the appropriate field. Choose the gender for your Neopet from the drop-down menu. Decide whether you want your Neopet to live in the forest, sea, river, town, jungle, city, mountain or wilderness, and make your selection from the drop-down menu. Select hobbies for your Neopet from the next drop-down menu. Choose a personality for your Neopet from the last drop-down menu.

Click the "Create" button located in the bottom right-hand corner of the page to create your Neopets character.
