How to Use an MA128G/B Apple Remote
If you wish to control your Apple TV, Macintosh desktop or laptop computer remotely, the MA128G/B remote by Apple allows you to launch music, photos, videos and DVDs. Unlike other peripheral devices, the remote control does not require Bluetooth synchronization, as it connects to your Macintosh device by sending a signal to the device's infrared sensor and opens the Front Row application, according to David Pogue, author of "Mac OS X Leopard Edition: The Missing Manual." Front Row is pre-installed on all Macintosh computers running 10.4 or later.
