How to Create a Banner Ad

Advertising on the Internet is an excellent way to get your business in front of millions of potential customers. A good banner ad can help promote your business online and drive Web traffic directly to your site. You can create an ad inexpensively using the Paint program on your computer.

Things You'll Need

• Computer
• Microsoft Paint

Instructions

1. Click on the "Start" button on your desktop and select "Accessories" and then "Paint."

2. Set the canvas size for your Web ad by clicking "Image" and then "Attributes." You can set the length and width of your banner ad here.

3. Choose the background color for your ad by hovering your pointer over the color palette and selecting a color. Click on the paint bucket icon to fill the canvas.

4. Click on the "A" icon to add text to your banner ad. Include your business name and slogan underneath.

5. Insert clip art or a photo into your ad by clicking "Edit" and selecting "Paste from." Select the image from a file on your computer. Choose "Open," and it will appear on your banner ad.

6. To save your banner ad, select "File" and "Save as."
