Making Mattresses

Creating your own mattress gives you the oppotrunity to customize it in any way you like.

Making your own mattress can be a more inexpensive way to provide a mattress for your sleeping area. It can also ensure that you will not be exposed to the harsh chemicals which mattress manufacturing companies use. You can also make a mattress that's customized for the size and shape you need.

Things You'll Need

• 3 in. latex slab
• Mattress topper
• Mattress Pad
• Fitted Sheet

Instructions

Making a Mattress

1. Purchase a three inch slab of latex in the dimensions you would like. Just remember if you choose to create a mattress that is not the standard dimensions you may have to be creative with the other elements of the design to make them conform to your preferred dimensions.

2. Place your mattress topper on top of your latex slab.

3. Wrap your mattress pad around your two layers securely.

4. Place your fitted sheet on top of your three layers.
