How to Transfer a URL to an Email

How to Transfer a URL to an Email thumbnail
A URL is the web address in the box at the top of your web browser.

The URL of a website is the address right at the top of your browser that lets your computer find a particular website. The letters stand for "Universal Resource Locator." A simple and expedient way to show a friend a particular website is to copy the URL address from the address bar in your web browser, paste it into an email, and then send it that way. Your friend can then simply click on the link to load the site.

Instructions

    • 1

Click right next to the end of the URL address in your web browser's address bar. The entire address becomes highlighted.

    • 2

Right-click on the highlighted text. A drop-down menu appears. Select "Copy."

    • 3

Open your email account. Click the option in the account to compose a new email. Right-click on the message box in the email and select "Paste." A link to the website appears there in the form of the URL address you copied.

    • 4

Enter your recipient's email address and click "Send" to send the email with the website information.
