Go out for a jog on a crowded street and you run farther, faster and with better posture. Talk in front of a classroom and your words feel heavy and important. Crowds give any event, no matter how small, electricity; an energy that you can feel rising in your chest. Maximize that excitement by filling the bleachers to the brim with an eager audience.
Personal Space
-
Head up into the bleachers with a tape measure to determine how much personal space each one of your fans needs. It should be no less than 18 inches, so start there. Measure along one of the bleachers, sit down and see how it makes you feel. Adjust up to 24 inches and beyond. Then count the number of rows, measure one of the rows in feet and do this simple equation -- number of rows x length of rows in feet x 12 inches / personal space in inches. So, a 20-row, 30-foot bleacher with 24 inches of personal space would fit 300 fans. That example would look like this: 20 rows x 30 feet x 12 inches / 24 inches personal space = 300 fans.
