Copying your Firefox bookmarks to a flash drive will ensure that you don't lose your favorite Internet places, whether you're buying a new computer or need to reformat your hard drive.

Instructions

      Connect your flash drive to a USB port on your computer.

      Open Firefox and click "Bookmarks."

      Select "Organize Bookmarks" from the drop-down menu. Alternately, press "CTRL," "SHIFT" and "B" at the same time. This opens the bookmark "Library" window.

      Click "Import and Backup." Select "Backup" from the menu to open the "Bookmarks Backup Filename" window.

      Type a name for your bookmarks in the box beside "File Name."

      Navigate to location of your flash drive and click "Save."

      Click the "X" in the upper right corner of the "Library" window to close it.
