Texting Brazil is a snap if you have the correct country codes.

Sometimes, it can be more cost-efficient and practical to send a text message. Luckily, it is very easy to send a text message to a person in Brazil if you have the correct country code.

Instructions

1. Make sure your cell phone has the ability to type a + symbol. This is necessary to send an international text message. Next, find out the eight-digit phone number of the person you want to text. All Brazilian phone numbers use a basic eight-digit local number. You will need this number.

2. Find out the international code for Brazil. For instance, if your are in the United States and your want to text someone in Algire, Brazil with the phone number 5-123-4567 in the to text screen you would type 011+55+27+51234567. 3. Find out the international code for the United States. For instance, if you were in Brazil and you wanted to text someone from Portland, Oregon, with the phone number 503-123-4556 you would enter 00+*1+503+1234567. For a full list of international code numbers, see the Resources section.

4. Enter the number, compose your message and press send. Your texts will now be sent and received to and from Brazil.
