How to Transfer Xbox 360 Saves From an Elite Hard Drive to a Memory Unit
The Xbox 360 supports portable memory devices for the process of transferring content between consoles. Using an Xbox 360 Memory Unit or USB flash drive (compatible for portable storage following a 2010 Xbox system update), Xbox 360 owners can transfer gamer profiles, saves, downloaded games and other content between console hard drives. The transfer process is identical for both Xbox Memory Units and USB drives, and is the same process for all models of the Xbox 360 hard drive, including the Xbox 360 Elite.
Note: To use a USB flash drive as portable storage, the device must be properly configured. Tutorials for USB configuration are available from Microsoft, if necessary.
