How to Send Hibiscus Flowers to Loved Ones
Hibiscus flowers are large, broad-petaled blooms that range in color from white to yellow to deep reds and pinks. There are more than 200 species of hibiscus flowers, which are grown in tropical climates. Hibiscus is a decorative flower as well as an ingredient in cooking and liqueur preparations. Its delicate petals require careful handling in shipping.

1
Cut the hibiscus to the desired length while holding the stems under running water. This helps prevent them from drying out when you send them to your loved ones. Hydrate the flowers before packing them.
-
2
Line the bottom of a cardboard shipping box with biodegradable packing peanuts. Place the hibiscus flowers in the box and settle them gently into the packing material. Cover them with a light layer of newspaper or peanuts to make sure they won't shift and become damaged in transit.

3
Tape baggies of frozen water to the outside. Place this box in an insulated box.
-
4
Clearly mark the box as "fragile" and send it overnight.
