Adding links to a Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentation enables you to be more productive within many different applications. You can include more content in your overall presentation, such as a website, or even link to additional slide shows on your computer.

Instructions

  1. Link to a Slide or Location Within Your Slide Show

      Open your presentation. Click on the slide with the image or text you wish to link and click on the image or highlight that element. Select "Insert" from the PowerPoint menu, scroll down to "Hyperlink" and click.

      Note the "Insert Hyperlink" window that opens. In the "Link To" box, click on "Place in this Document."

      Choose the option "Link to a Custom Show" if you wish to advance or move to a special slide show within your presentation. Then click the check box next to "Show and Return." Or choose the specific slide to which you wish to link.

    Link to a Slide in Another Slide Show

      Open your presentation. Click on the slide with the image or text you wish to link and click on the image or highlight that element.

      Select "Insert" from the PowerPoint menu, scroll down to "Hyperlink" and click.

      Note the "Insert Hyperlink" window that opens. In the "Link To" box, locate the presentation on your computer that has the slide to which you wish to link .

      Click on "Bookmark" and choose the title of your preferred slide.

    Link to an Email Address

      Open your presentation. Click on the slide with the image or text you wish to link and click on the image or highlight that element.

      Select "Insert" from the PowerPoint menu, scroll down to "Hyperlink" and click.

      Note the "Insert Hyperlink" window that opens. Type in the email address you wish to link to in the "Link To" box. Or choose an email address in the box that says "Recently used email Addresses."

    Link to a Website
