How to Activate Photoshop C2

Before using Photoshop, users need to activate it.

As a way to prevent illegal copying and distribution of its product, Adobe has included an activation code with its popular photo editing software, Photoshop C2. In order to allow the software to work, the code must be entered into Adobe's system, either through the Internet or over the phone, once the product is installed onto a computer. Without the activation code, the user will not be able to use the software.

• Activation code
• Internet access or phone

Instructions

By Internet

1. Install and open Photoshop C2 on your computer. Once it installs, a screen will pop up asking you to Activate the software.

2. Press the button to "Activate Now" if you have access to the Internet. The software will then contact the official Adobe website and automatically take care of activating your Photoshop software. After activation, a new window will pop up telling you that the activation process has been successful.

3. Press "Enter" to leave the pop-up screen. Your program has been activated and you can now use Photoshop C2 whenever you want.

By Telephone

1. Install and open Photoshop C2 on your computer. Once it installs, a screen will pop up asking you to Activate the software.

2. Call the Adobe activation service center at 1-800-833-6687. When prompted, enter in the activation code that came with your version of Photoshop C2. In response, the representative you are talking to will give you an activation authorization code. Write down the code.

3. Enter in the activation authorization code. Press "Enter" and your Photoshop software will now be activated for your use.
